I reached home late evening on that Friday, but didn’t do much else because I could barely stay awake. Was too tired after a long day so I went to bed rather early that day. What I do remember is I fought zombies with my grandpa in my dream that night. Seriously.

The next day, I had to start working. Like every other year. Except this year I didn’t curi-tulang as much as before. *innocent face* But actually there weren’t much left for me to do when I got home. Much of the work are already done, and I only had to put up some of the decorations. It’s not that I didn’t want to help, there weren’t anything else left for me to do! *more innocent face*

The major event, however, on the night of CNY eve was the mega-dinner at home. Dinner for 32 people. That’s thirty-two. My entire dining room wouldn’t fit that many people. We had to set up tables in my veranda and yet we still couldn’t all have dinner at the same time because there just weren’t enough seats. I was among the last to get a seat, luckily there were still food for me. Luckily. Otherwise heads will roll. Then again, a dinner this big is not something very common here. The last time there was a dinner as big as this was when the same bunch of uncles and aunts came down from KL. Except this time, the babies and little kids weren’t so little anymore.

The next day was the open house day, as always. People come people go. I eat they eat I eat more. Friends come friends eat I eat friends go. Everybody go we pack clean and pack and clean and pack more and clean even more. End of story. People were everywhere, I don’t even feel comfortable in my own home anymore. I was so tired that night, yet I went out with my friends to watch Norbit at midnight. A reasonable show, if you shut off your brain. The jokes are extremely exaggerated, I know it’s meant to be that way but sometimes I just can’t comprehend them. Anyway I got home at 2, considerably early considering I didn’t follow my friends for a yumcha session afterwards and went straight to bed.

The next thing I know, I was a linesman in a soccer game. Running back and forth across the field. And then I was abducted or something, and was forced to take a quiz.

I’ve lost countless brain cells trying to decipher my dreams. Even Norbit made more sense than them. I might go mad one day with all these insane dreams I have.

Second day of CNY was visiting day, as always again. I went to a relative’s house. I went to another relative’s house. And yet another one. End of story. Even my Chinese New Year celebrations have turned into a routine! I’m so bored and boring.

Today, I visited a few more of my relatives. And then I went to my friend’s house for a while. Played a bit of his PS2. Died a few hundred times in MGS3. Painstakingly finished the…. prologue. And by the time the title screen appeared I had to leave for dinner already because my grandpa is insisting that dinner will not start until I get home. Talk about tension. Dinner was strange. We had leftover Malay food, processed Korean food and more leftover home-cooked food. But my mum made some caramel pudding. Yummmmmmmy. I ate two. I’m going to eat another one tomorrow before I leave.

My Chinese New Year celebration was just like many of the years before. It was good, but it was no different.

I started off almost immediately after I got up from bed at about noon. I was expecting it wouldn’t take long so I thought I’ll have my lunch after I’m done. What a bad decision. I didn’t even had time to lunch. I was barely half done when my friend called me for dinner. That was at SIX in the evening. I had a quick dinner, got back and resumed work. It was at MIDNIGHT when I finally got a chance to take my own bath! I spent an entire day cleaning! My room took the longest, I practically tore it apart and cleaned it bit by bit plus I rearranged the cupboards and cabinets too. I like my room a lot more now! However, there won’t be any pictures of it…

With all that done, let’s move on to the main event!

At about six in the evening of Saturday, Edward came to pick me up from my place and we headed off to Marvin’s house along with Wei How, Xi Wen, James, Aivie, Ivan and May Lee. The celebration was held at Clement’s (Rachel’s you-know-who) place, and we weren’t too sure of how to get there so we were relying on Marvin on being our guide. But one thing we all was sure about is that it’s gonna be one long ride. His house is in a nice quiet place somewhere in Kajang. And his house is huge. What was supposed to be a long ride, turned out to be a very long ride.

After we were robbed of our tolls fees which we wouldn’t have needed to pay and sight-seeing trip across a totally unfamiliar highway which would fit into a Silent Hill scene very well, we ended up on the same road where we came from. And this time we finally took the correct turn. Marvin! Guide konon!

The first thing most of us did when we reached Clement’s house was beating up Marvin But a while into that, I was faaaar more attracted to the food there.

I still can’t forget the peanuty-curry-chicken. Whatever it is made of, it should be banned. It will induce a state of ecstasy in the victim and he/she will fail to have self-control over their table manners and cause embarassment to themselves. I need to get the recipe from Clem’s mum.Rachel was particularly gorgeous that night, and her family actually came down all the way from Malacca to attend the party!

There was a big waterfight which suddenly erupted while I was playing chor dai dee. Some of the guys have been filling up water balloons when we were entertaining ourselves. Water balloons rained down from the sky like artillery shells. They were. Sort of. Immediately, the victims on my side staged a fightback. We quickly filled up our own share of balloons, but it did not proved to be effective because they had the upper hand in terms of manpower, ammunition and terrain. Unfortunately, very few pictures were taken during the waterfight because I was in it And the rest who weren’t didn’t want to risk taking their cameras out.

It was a wild, wild night. I got myself wet, and Phil got me wetter =.=” I wouldn’t worry too much about that though. Because his birthday is coming.

The weekend was a blast. So much fun, so little time. We had 3 birthday celebrations in a row! We started off celebrating me and my pal Howard’s birthdays. Our birthdays are just a day apart, so we always get to celebrate together Guess where we went this time?

Right. The Manhattan Fish Market. I was there 2 weeks ago for another of my friend’s birthday celebration as well. But this time it was in Midvalley Megamall instead of Sunway Pyramid. I don’t mind though, they serve great food. But most importantly, it was the company that mattered – regardless of where we go.

The celebration was awesome. Many friends turned up. Those who didn’t still didn’t failed to send their regards and wishes. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank those who are involved, both directly and indirectly I had a great time and I greatly appreciate it!

Very nice looking cake, that is until Howard and I got creamed by it. Thanks to Wei How and Voon Siew – they will be remembered. And their favours will be returned in the future! While I got creamed, my white shirt was caught in the crossfire. Habis-lah. Chocolate cream stain, even bleach and Dynamo couldn’t get it off. The Dynamo ads are lying! I did exactly what they showed on TV but it still didn’t work! Must be because of a curse *coughsamcough*. May you find joy *coughmonkeycough* when you look into the mirror now that your curse was spot on. Literally. Chocolate spot, that is.

See the glowing-orange mouse?! That’s what I got from (in alphabetical order) Edward, Howard, Hubert, Hui Yin, Ivan, Kiat Ngee, Marvin, Phil, Tung Ken, Voon Siew and Wei How. Seems familiar doesn’t it? Because that’s the very same mouse that we earlier bought for Wei How’s birthday, which was also coincidentally help in Manhattan Fish Market.

The black mousepad is also a birthday present which I got from roughly the same bunch of friends last year. They make a nice pair don’t they! The cute little transparent bear lying there is a special present from May Lee. It’s a very thoughtful present, a potentially life-saving one! Maybe she’s trying to tell me that I spend too much time on the computer

And no, the phone isn’t my birthday present. It’s just… my phone. Which my parents got me

This very nice (and orangey!) shirt is from Clement and Rachel. Somehow the colour of the shirt looks very intense in the picture, but it’s not really that bad. Rather, it’s a very pretty tone of orange. Just nice

Later in the night (like a couple of hours later), we went over to Eric Low’s apartment and celebrated his birthday instead. It was a poolside BBQ thing. Poolside events are always scary.

The food! Very very yummy stuff. BBQ and steamboat! What more could we ask for. The pictures alone are making me hungry now. Sigh.

Right after the candles were blown, WHAM! He was practically covered in whipped cream. As if that wasn’t bad enough, then his friends grabbed him….

… and in he went.

The most frightening part was when some of my friends started yelling that it was my birthday too. Immediately, I was on the Wanted list. They were quite close to throwing me into the pool as well but it’d be a huge problem if they did. That place wasn’t exactly near my home and I didn’t bring any extra clothes. Luckily, I managed to convince them not to, but I still got wet anyhow because they were wet. Haha… but it still beats being entirely soaked anytime!

The very next day, there was another party. This time, the star was Kevin Lau.

The food there was equally yummy. But too bad it wasn’t buffet-style. *could have eaten a lot more if it was* Hahahaha…

But while everybody was busy with the food, I was busy taking pictures. And what did I end up with?

After all the food finished, we were left wanting more! That’s when the birthday cake came into the picture!

It was a great weekend, really. Three parties in 2 day, that’s as fun as things can get. Once again, I’d like to thank all of you who as much as remembered my birthday!
